Gottlieb Daimler is a German industrial designer, he developed internal combustion engines and fast liquid petrol-fueled engines. Gottlieb had two partners; Wilhelm Maybach and Emil Jellinek. Gottlieb and Maybach have a company named Daimler Motors Corporation, Emil Jellinek was an entrepreneur who worked with them and helped them create the Mercedes 35hp in 1900. Jellinek named the car after his daughter; Mercedes Jellinek. 

Karl Benz is a German engine and Automobile designer, He developed the Benz Patent Motorcar which was the first car in history. Karl Benz company; Benz & Cie whose wife was his partner and the first person to take the automobile on a long journey.

After long competition between the Benz & Cie and Daimler motor corporation later joined hands together and the First Mercedes Benz was birthed in 1926.
